Exodus 14.19-31
After suffering from plagues sent by God, the Pharaoh has allowed the Isrealites to leave Egypt. The sight of the Egyptian army has led the Isrealites to fear for their lives, but Moses has counselled them to trust God.
Romans 14.1-12
After telling his readers of the ethical behaviour expected of Christians, Paul counsels them with respect to conduct in the community.
Matthew 18.21-35
Jesus has told the disciples how the community is to discipline those who disrupt its harmony by going against God’s ways. But God is merciful and so should we be.
