Give Thanks…

Next Sunday, October 7 is Thanksgiving Sunday. As a way of giving thanks for the blessings we have received at God’s hands we are asked to bring non-perishable food items for Winnipeg Harvest.

The Altar Guild would appreciate offerings of any garden produce you may want to donate to decorate the altar (and we’ll pass on the garden produce to Winnipeg Harvest, as well). You can drop off your extra tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, squash, beans, pumpkins, and zucchini (everyone always has too much zucchini!) between Monday, October 1 and Friday, October 5.

The office will be open between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  Dean Paul will be away, and, because October 7 is the first Sunday of the month, Brian and Mavis will be at St. Peter’s Dynevor, so the Dean has invited the Rev. Canon Fletcher Stewart to preside and preach at the Thanksgiving Service.
