Diakonia:
service, ministry and leadership all rolled into one.

After a busy Holy Week and Easter, come and join us for community, learning, and quiet reflection about diakonia – that mysterious word that means “service”, “ministry”, and “leadership” all rolled into one.

If you can’t come for the whole day, come for the Open House from 3 to 5 pm.

Purpose

  • To nurture participants in their ministry of diakonia
  • To uphold the tradition of deaconesses, diaconal ministers, and deacons
  • To celebrate this gift of ministry as it is rooted in the Easter narrative
  • To teach and renew what has been taught about the diaconate in the church
  • To reflect on participants’ experience of ministry and its diaconal dimensions
